My New Poetry Book Drops on 10/1/24!

My new poetry collection, Why Trees Stay Outside, will be published 10/1/24 by Unsolicited Press. Unlike my previous poetry book and novels, which have words extending back thirty years or more, these poems were written in the last 5-6 years with echoes of our contemporary social, political, and natural environment along with flashes of romance and humor. There’s more information HERE

The title poem was inspired by a question our son John asked me when he was a preschooler. You can check out the poem in the literary journal Rust + Moss, where it first appeared.

You can preorder the collection from the publisher and from most book retailers, including your local bookstore, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or bookshop.org. Posting a review on Amazon or Goodreads will bring my undying gratitude.

Excited to share this update and particularly thrilled to see recognition in both the novel category and short stories.
