“Eyes on the Prize” reading in Oakland tonight (3/25/26)

If you are in Oakland CA or the Bay Area, you might want to check out the “Eyes on the Prize” reading 5-7 pm tonight at the Oakland Liberation Center, 1499 Fruitvale Ave., Oakland.

The reading will feature SF Writers Grotto authors who were finalists for literary prizes but did not win. All of the readers are talented and entertaining, and I’m looking forward to a good time. For my segment, I will share a few pages of my irreverent sixties road novel, Lucky Ride, which was a finalist for the Maxy Award.

Hope to see you there!

Reading New Work at Literary Nights with Unsolicited Press

I had a surprise opportunity Wednesday night when one of the scheduled authors for Literary Nights with Unsolicited Press had to cancel. Since I’ve been working on a new novel, I took a chance and shared an excerpt. I was honored to read with Unsolicited Press authors Andy Smart, Matt Daly and Rosalia Scalia, who was the MC. These three always have inspiring words to share.
